Privacy notice
How this website handles the details you send us and the statistics it keeps.
Who is responsible
Danubius Shipping operates danubiusshipping.com and is responsible for the information described in this notice. Questions about personal data can be sent through the enquiry form.
What we collect
The enquiry form asks for your name, company, email address, an optional phone number, the subject of the enquiry and your message, together with your confirmation that you have read this notice. The form does not accept file uploads. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
When you send the form we also record the time, the page it was sent from, your IP address and browser identifier. These are used to filter automated submissions and to investigate abuse.
Why we use it
To read and answer your enquiry, to discuss the vessel, cargo or contract it concerns, and to manage any business relationship that follows. Without a working email address and a description of the requirement we cannot reply. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to any mailing.
Legal basis
Danubius Shipping is established in Ukraine and processes personal data under the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection". For visitors from the European Economic Area, the basis is the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and protecting the website from abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).
Where it is stored and for how long
Enquiries are stored in the administration area of this website, delivered to our business mailbox and written to a server-side log that is not accessible from the web. They are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting business, and in any case no longer than 24 months after the last exchange, unless a contract or a legal obligation requires longer retention.
Who else sees it
Nobody outside Danubius Shipping, except the hosting provider that runs this website and the email provider that delivers our mail, both bound by their own data-processing terms. We do not sell or share enquiry details with third parties, and we disclose counterparties, prices or vessel names only on your instruction.
Statistics and cookies
The website keeps its own visitor statistics with the WP Statistics plugin, hosted on the same server. IP addresses are anonymised and hashed before storage; no advertising networks or third-party analytics services receive data about your visit.
Two functional cookies may be set: one remembering the language you chose, and, when you sign in as an administrator, the standard WordPress session cookies. No cookie consent banner is shown because no cookies are used for tracking or advertising.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use, by sending a message through the enquiry form. Visitors from the EEA also have the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.
Changes
This notice may be updated when the website or the law changes. The current version is always published at this address. Last updated: September 2026.
